SPECIAL ORDER

IN RE: RE-ASSIGNMENT OF CASES FOR THE

HONORABLE WM. BRUCE SMITH

AND ATTORNEYS DOUG SMITH AND VICTOR SMITH

            WHEREAS, the Honorable Wm. Bruce Smith (Judge Smith) may be assigned, from time to time, to cases involving the attorneys Doug Smith and Victor Smith; and

            WHEREAS, attorney Doug Smith is the brother of Judge Smith and attorney Victor Smith is the nephew of Judge Smith,

THIS COURT has determined that grounds for a standing order of reassignment of cases involving Judge Smith exists, in lieu of piecemeal presentation of motions for recusal; it is accordingly

            ORDERED that the Clerk of the Court of Polk County, from the entry of this order until his reassignment out of the Family Division, is hereby directed to reassign any and all cases which would ordinarily be assigned to Judge Smith (section 09) to Family Sections 01, 02 and 05 in an equal manner; and that said Clerk shall make the necessary adjustment for the equal distribution of cases assigned among all circuit judges within that division. 

            THIS ORDER shall become effective upon entry.
