ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 5-21.1
AUTHORIZATION FOR TENTH CIRCUIT MEDIATION
SERVICES
TO PROVIDE THE A.D.A.P.T., A.I.M., POSITIVE CO-PARENTING AND GENTLE GIANTS COURSES
WHEREAS, the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court has established Mediation Services which provides certain services to the citizens of the Tenth Circuit; and
WHEREAS, as part of the services offered to the citizens of the Tenth Circuit, Mediation Services provides the following courses: A.D.A.P.T: Abolish Domestic Violence - Alternatives and Prevention Techniques; A.I.M. - Anger is Manageable; Positive Co-Parenting and Gentle Giants; and
WHEREAS, the Tenth Circuit Court has determined that the existence of these courses is in the best interests of persons under the jurisdiction of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court;
In accordance with the authority vested in the Chief Judge by Rule 2.050, Florida Rules of Judicial Administration, it is therefore
ORDERED AND DIRECTED that:
The Tenth Circuit Mediation Services is authorized to conduct the A.D.A.P.T., A.I.M., Positive Co-Parenting and Gentle Giants courses.
Fees for the A.D.A.P.T., A.I.M., Positive Co-Parenting courses shall be $25.00 per participant. The fee for the Gentle Giants course shall be $30.00. Fees may be mailed prior to the date of the course, allowing for time to reach Mediation Services before the date of the course, to Mediation Services P.O. Box 9000, Drawer J112 Bartow, FL 33831-9000. If the fees are not mailed in advance and if the course is held during weekday business hours at the Polk County Courthouse in Bartow, the payment shall be made at the Clerk of Court Cashiers Office and a receipt shall be brought to Mediation Services staff. Otherwise, payment may be made at the time the class is held to Mediation Services staff.
The fees shall be by cash or check payable to "Clerk of the Court". No fee shall be assessed to a party that has received a certificate of indigence from the Clerk of the Court for the pending proceeding that necessitates the parenting course. A certified copy of the certificate of indigence must accompany the registration in lieu of the applicable fee.
Administrative Order Nos. 5-21.0, 5-22.0 and 5-25.0 are hereby VACATED.
