ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 5-11.2

AUTHORITY FOR CLERK’S FAMILY MEDIATION

DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE SERVICES

WHEREAS, the Family Mediation Department of the Polk County Clerk of the Circuit Court was established to provide mediation services in pre- and post-judgment disputes involving visitation, and

WHEREAS, at the request of the courts, the Family Mediation Department provides education classes entitled "Gentle Giants", "Families Without Violence" and "AIM: Anger is Manageable", and

WHEREAS, it is therefore necessary to adopt uniform procedures to govern provision of said services, it is therefore

ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that:

28366. The Polk County Clerk of the Circuit Court, through its Family Mediation Department, is hereby authorized to provide pre- and post-judgment visitation mediation services in accordance with Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure.

28367. Said mediation services shall be conducted by a Family Mediator certified in accordance with Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Florida Family Law Rules of Procedure.

28368. The Polk County Clerk of the Circuit Court, through its Family Mediation Department, is hereby authorized to provide the education classes referenced above in accordance with the request of the Court.

This Administrative Order shall become effective upon entry. It should be noted that Administrative Order Number 5-11.1, dated February 27, 1998 was rescinded by Special Order dated July 19, 2002.
