PRE-TRIAL RELEASE: REQUIREMENT FOR

CHANGE OF TYPE OF BAIL BOND

WHEREAS Rule 3.131(b)(1)(v), Fla R. Crim. P., defines one form of bail as:

Requiring the execution of a bail bond with sufficient solvent sureties, or the deposit of cash in lieu thereof.

In order to prevent possible abuses in the administration of bail bonds, it is therefore

ORDERED AND ADJUDGED:

That once a surety or cash bail bond is filed, neither will be exchanged for the other unless approved by a presiding judge. This order hereby revokes and supersedes Administrative Order No. 39 entered July 12, 1979.
