RE: APPROVED OFFENDER LEAVE AND FURLOUGH FOR
COMMUNITY CONTROLLEES IN INPATIENT TREATMENT
WHEREAS, it is the goal of approving offender leaves, furloughs and recreational/leisure
activities to motivate offenders toward self-improvement, to gradually re-integrate
offenders back into the community, to strengthen family ties, to accustom offenders to
self-reliance, and to expose offenders to beneficial programs and experiences;
NOW THEREFORE it is hereby ORDERED that persons in inpatient treatment, placed on
Community Control Supervision, may be allowed to attend and participate in approved
offender leaves, furloughs and recreational/leisure activities, as approved by the Florida
Department of Corrections, in compliance with the Non-secure Treatment Program Manual,
unless specifically prohibited by order of the sentencing judge.
