IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE TENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT
IN AND FOR POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA
SPECIAL ORDER
IN RE: ESTABLISHMENT OF SECTION 13 IN THE FAMILY LAW DIVISION
AND
REASSIGNMENT OF FAMILY LAW DIVISION CASES
FROM SECTIONS 01, 02, 05, AND 09 TO SECTION 13
WHEREAS, Section 13 is now established in the Family Law Division; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that Family Law Division cases from Sections 01, 02, 05, and 09 be reassigned to Section 13 in order to promote judicial economy, maximize judicial resources and provide for the prompt and efficient administration of justice in this circuit;
WHEREAS the Court has determined that both pending and closed cases from Sections 01, 02, 05, and 09 should be reassigned to Section 13;
WHEREAS recently reassigned Family Law Division cases shall not be reassigned again pursuant to this Order; and
It is, therefore,
ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that:
The Polk County Clerk of Courts (hereinafter "the Clerk of Courts") is hereby directed to reassign cases as outlined in Attachment C.
Any hearing(s) currently scheduled in cases reassigned pursuant to this Administrative Order are hereby CANCELLED. The party that originally scheduled the hearing(s) must reschedule the cancelled hearing(s) with Section 13.
The Clerk of Courts is hereby directed to reassign every 10th bolded case in Attachment A (Circuit Civil Closed Cases report on Section 01 DOMV and REVI cases closed between 01/01/98 and 09/26/05) to Section 13.
The Clerk of Courts is hereby directed to reassign every 5th bolded case in Attachment B (PDF) (Circuit Civil Closed Cases report on DMAR, PATE, CUST, CUSP, SUPT, and FORJ cases closed cases filed 1998 thru 2005) to Section 13.
This Order shall have effect upon entry.
