| Pursuant to FSA §40.221, concerning the drawing of the jury
venire, which reads, in part: A clerk of the court, under supervision of a judge of any court
of record, shall randomly select from the jury list such number of persons as he or she
deems necessary or expedient for a jury venire, to be returnable at such time as the judge
shall specify, from which such venire or venires any jury may be organized, including a
grand jury when drawn by or upon order of a judge of the circuit court. The judge who is assigned to be duty judge on Tuesday of each week shall also preside over the jury pull on that day. The pull will take place in the Court Administrator’s Office on the 9th floor of the courthouse or in the Trial Coordinator’s office on the 4th floor of the courthouse. Each judge who is so assigned is requested to report to the Court Administrator’s Office at 1:00 p.m., unless otherwise notified, or to coordinate a convenient time for the jury pull before 2:00 p.m. of that day with the Court Administrator’s Office. |
